Library Rules


  • Membership Card and Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
  • Silence to be maintained.
  • No discussion permitted inside the library. Registration is mandatory to become a library member prior to using the library.
  • No personal belongings allowed inside the library.
  • Textbooks, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the stack.
  • Using Mobile phones and audio instruments with or without speaker or headphones are strictly prohibited in the library premises. All users are requested to keep their mobiles in silent mode.
  • Student must scan identity card barcode on digital attendance system at the entrance before entering library.
  • Reference Documents like Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Year Books, Journals (Loose & Bound), Theses, Project Reports will not be issued out.
  • Demand and suggestion forms are available for students as per request.
  • The Librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.
  • Library borrower cards are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
  • If Identity card and Library card is lost, duplicate cards will be issued on payment of Rs.100/- for identity card and Rs.20/- for library card
  • Users can borrow the books for Eight days, after that fine of Rs.1/-per day will be charged.
  • If the issued book will be lost from students, then they must pay double amount of lost book price.
  • For any type of assistance regarding searching books in library please communicate with library staff.
