Earn and learn scheme


Shripatrao Kadam Mahavidylaya, Shirwal has initiated ‘Earn and Learn Scheme’.

Objective

The purpose to introduce ‘Earn and Learn Scheme’ is to help the poor and needy students to pursue higher education. One should not be deprived of an opportunity to have education.

Nature of Earn and Learn Scheme:

  • The college can allow the 2% of the total students admitted previous academic Year.
  • 50% of the selected students are taken from scheduled castes and tribes, while remaining 50% are selected from non-scheduled categories.
  • A student admitted to the scheme has to work maximum eighty hours in a month and three hours per day.
  • A student is paid Rs.25/- per hour.
  • The university contributes 75% amount of the honorarium and the college pays 25%.
  • The honorarium is paid by cheque or college voucher.
  • Office work, technical work, and field work are the three categories of work assigned to students enrolled in the programme. Almost all cases are taken into consideration when allocating work so that every student has an equal chance to receive a variety of tasks.

  • Procedure

  • The applications are invited from the students.
  • The aspirant students are interviewed.
  • The eligible candidates, who fulfill the rules laid by the Collage are selected for the Earn and Learn Scheme.
